Ingredients
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 8 cups whole dry roasted peanuts
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon hot red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup sugar
Recipe
- 1 heat oil in large skillet.
- 2 add the peanuts and 1 cup sugar. cook over medium heat, constantly stirring until nuts are golden brown and sugar has carmelized - about3-4 minutes.
- 3 remove nuts to a large bowl.
- 4 add cumin and pepper flakes.
- 5 toss to distribute seasonings.
- 6 let cool,then toss with remaining sugar.
- 7 serve immediately, or let cool and store tightly covered.
