Chicken Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb boneless chicken
  • 1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 celery ribs, thickly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups bean sprouts
  • 4 green onions, coarsely chopped
  • 1 (455 ml) jar sweet and sour sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • cooked rice

Recipe

  • 1 cut chicken in 1-inch cubes.
  • 2 in wok or skillet, toast peanuts over high heat, remove.
  • 3 add oil. stir fry chicken until no longer pink, 2-3 minutes.
  • 4 add celery, sprouts, and onions nad fry for 3 minutes.
  • 5 add sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce. heat through for 1 minute.
  • 6 serve on rice sprinkled with peanuts.
