'chinese Buffet' Green Beans

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil or 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 heat peanut oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • 2 stir in the garlic, and cook until the edges begin to brown, about 20 seconds.
  • 3 add the green beans; cook and stir until the green beans begin to soften, about 5 minutes.
  • 4 stir in the sugar, oyster sauce, and soy sauce.
  • 5 continue cooking and stirring for several minutes until the beans have attained the desired degree of tenderness.
