Caramel Apple Ice Cream (ice Cream Machine)

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2/3 cup half-and-half
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup (i use smuckers because it is thin)
- 10 ounces apple pie filling (diced smaller than a chocolate chip)
- 1/2 cup roasted peanuts (chopped)
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Recipe
- 1 combine cream, half/half, sugar, vanilla and lemon juice in a bowl and whisk. add caramel sauce to mixture and mix well.
- 2 in a separate bowl, combine chopped apples, peanuts and salt and mix well.
- 3 place cream mixture in electric ice cream machine and turn on for 25 mintues.
- 4 gradually add apple/nut mixture at the end of freezing for an additional 10 minutes.
- 5 transfer to airtight container and freeze for 2 hours before serving.
