Chocolate Easter Eggs

Ingredients
- Servings: 10
- 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages cook and serve chocolate pudding mix
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/2 cup milk
- 5 -6 cups confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups peanut butter
- 4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (24 oz)
- 2 teaspoons shortening
- assorted decorating icings and small decorative candies
Recipe
- 1 combine pudding mixes, butter and milk in a saucepan.
- 2 cook and stir over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil.
- 3 cook while stirring for 2 more minutes, or until thickened.
- 4 remove from heat, stir in the sugar and peanut butter.
- 5 cool slightly.
- 6 shape 1/2 cupfuls of the mixture into egg shapes.
- 7 place on a waxed paper lined bake sheet, and refrigerate until set.
- 8 in the microwave or a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and the shortening, stirring until smooth.
- 9 dip the eggs in the chocolate, allwowing the excess to drip off.
- 10 put back on waxed paper to dry.
- 11 decorate as desired with icings and candies.
