Chocolate Butterscotch Pudding Cake

Ingredients

- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips (can use peanut butter, , cinnamon, or other flavor chip you like)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup boiling water
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350; butter 9 inch round or square pan.
- 2 blend the flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- 3 stir in butterscotch chips.
- 4 in a small bowl, blend milk, oil, vanilla.
- 5 add to dry ingredients.
- 6 pour into prepared cake pan and spread evenly.
- 7 blend together remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa.
- 8 sprinkle over the cake batter.
- 9 pour hot water over the surface of batter, do not stir.
- 10 bake 35-40 minutes until top is dry.
