Breakfast Snack Bar

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 cups rice krispies
  • 1 cup special k cereal
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 cups package dark chocolate chips (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 spray 9" x 13" pan with non-stick spray.
  • 2 mix the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  • 3 bring the first four sauce ingredients to a boil and cook for an additional two minutes.
  • 4 stir 1/2 cup peanut butter into sauce mixture.
  • 5 mix dry ingredients and sauce until well blended.
  • 6 press firmly into prepared pan.
  • 7 melt one bag dark chocolate chips and spread over bars.
  • 8 cut bars after they have cooled.
