Chevdo

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 20
  • 7 cups rice krispies
  • 2 1/2 cups corn flakes (no named superstore brand only)
  • 1 1/2 cups peanuts
  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin seeds
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup almonds (roast in oven)
  • 1 cup raisins (optional)
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 2 -3 dried red chilies
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric (add 1/2 tspn more if required)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (put last when pot is taken off the stove)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon citric acid (add little at a time and taste)
  • 2 -3 teaspoons sugar (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder

Recipe

  • 1 pour mixture over the chevdo mix and stir.
