Chocolate Butterscotch Pudding Cake

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup hot water
  • whipped cream, if desired

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350.
  • 2 grease an 8 inh round cake pan.
  • 3 in medium bowl,thoroughly blend the flour, 1/2 cup of the brown sugar, 1/4 cup of the cocoa,coffee, baking powder and salt.
  • 4 stir in the butterscotch chips.
  • 5 in small bowl, blend the milk, oil, and vanilla.
  • 6 add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir until blended.
  • 7 spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  • 8 blend together the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar and the 1/4 cup cocoa.
  • 9 sprinkle this mixture on top of the cake batter.
  • 10 pour the hot water evenly over the surface of the batter.
  • 11 bake for 35-40 minutes until the top looks cake like.
  • 12 serve with whipped cream if desired.
  • 13 *canuse other kinds of baking chips for variation,milk chocolate,peanut butter,mint etc.
