Apple Crisp With Peanut Brittle Crust

Ingredients
- 8 granny smith apples, peeled, and quartered
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 ounces unsalted butter, chilled, and cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup peanut brittle, chopped
- 1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
- vanilla ice cream (for serving)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- 2 rub butter to coat bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- 3 in a large bowl, mix all the filling ingredients, toss to coat the apples, and pour into the baking dish.
- 4 in another large bowl, combine all the topping ingredients except for the ice cream, and mix well.
- 5 using both hands, mix topping ingredients in the bowl together until the mixture forms small lumps.
- 6 sprinkle this mixture over the apple filling , and bake in a preheated ovenfor 50 minutes.
- 7 let cool 15 minutes.
- 8 serve with vanilla ice cream.
