Chocolate-peanut Butter Frosting

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 -4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup sifted unsweetened cocoa powder (dutch process)

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium bowl, using an electric mixer on high speed, cream together the peanut butter, butter, and salt until light and smooth.
  • 2 blend in the vanilla and add 3 tbsp.
  • 3 of the milk until well blended.
  • 4 gradually beat in the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, adding more milk, if necessary, to achieve a smooth, spreadable consistency.
