Chocolate Scotcheroos

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup karo light corn syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

Recipe

  • 1 cook corn syrup and sugar in a large pan over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  • 2 bring mixture to a boil.
  • 3 remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in peanut butter; mix well.
  • 5 add cereal; stir until evenly coated.
  • 6 pour into greased 13x9 inch pan; pat into place.
  • 7 melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in saucepan over low heat; stirring constantly.
  • 8 spread over cereal.
  • 9 cool at least 45 minutes, or until firm.
  • 10 cut into bars.
  • 11 enjoy!
