Deep Fried Tofu

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon chinese five spice powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, very finely chopped
  • 1 lb tofu or 4 pieces tofu, cakes cut in half
  • 2 1/2 cups peanut oil
  • 4 green onions

Recipe

  • 1 in a bowl mix salt, 5 spice powder, sugar, pepper and garlic.
  • 2 add tofu 1 at a time and turn over to coat evenly.
