Broken Shrimp Jambalaya
Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 1 cup peanut oil
- 4 onions, chopped
- 5 cloves garlic
- black pepper
- 2 bunches shallots
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- pepper
- 1/4 lb smoked sausage
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- salt
- 1 red pepper
- 1 1/2 lbs shrimp, broken (cooked)
- 3 cups rice
- 5 cups water
Recipe
- 1 heat oil, add onions, garlic, shallots, bell pepper, smoked sausage, paprika, salt, and peppers and saute well.
- 2 add shrimp pieces, rice and water.
- 3 bring to boil, cover, and over very low heat, steam for 20 to 25 minutes.
- 4 stir with fork and replace cover.
