Crock Pot Thai Style Chicken

Total Time: 6 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 broiler-fryer chicken, whole
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 1/4 cup tamari
  • 2 -4 tablespoons rice vinegar (or substitute with lime juice)
  • 2 -4 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 place all the ingredients but the fryer in a crock pot. adjust flavors to taste.
  • 2 place fryer in, breast side down. allow it to marinate for at least two hours (and up to overnight), covered, in the fridge.
  • 3 flip the fryer over, breast side up. turn crock pot on low and cook for 4-6 hours.
  • 4 serve with steamed vegetables or on a salad. i like it with a peanut sauce.
