Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Squares

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 (18 ounce) package pillsbury refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 in a medium bowl combine powdered sugar, peanut butter and vanilla; mix well.
  • 3 remove cookie dough from wrapper.
  • 4 with floured hands, press half of dough in bottom of ungreased 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 9 inch square pan.
  • 5 press peanut butter mixture evenly over dough.
  • 6 crumble and sprinkle remaining half of cookie dough over peanut butter mixture layer.
  • 7 carefully spread crumbled dough as evenly as possible.
  • 8 bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.
  • 9 cool 30 minutes and then refrigerate 1 hour until chilled.
  • 10 cut into bars and serve chilled or at room temperature.
  • 11 inactive prep time is 1-1/2 hours to cool bars.
