Beer Batter For Fried Fish

Ingredients
- 1 1/2-2 lbs cod
- 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast
- 1 cup beer
- 1 cup flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 dissolve 1 package dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm beer.
- 2 add 1 cup flour, and a pinch of salt. stir.
- 3 add remaining 1/2 cup beer and more as needed for "sticky run" dough.
- 4 cover with a dish towel and let it stand in a warm place for a 1/2 hour or more.
- 5 fold in egg and use immediately.
- 6 dry fish fillets with a paper towel before dipping in batter.
- 7 fry in hot vegetable, peanut, or corn oil.
- 8 enjoy!
