Brenda's Mom's Granola

Ingredients
- 6 cups old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1 1/2 cups coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
- 3/4 cup canola oil
- 1 1/2 cups honey
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- cinnamon
Recipe
- 1 mix all the ingredients except the cinnamon.
- 2 place on a greased cookie sheet.
- 3 sprinkle with cinnamon to taste before baking.
- 4 bake at 350 degrees for 30 - 40 minutes, stirring half way through.
- 5 try not to over bake as the granola will get hard.
- 6 as soon as it is out of the oven, scrape the granola into a pile on the sheet to cool (this aids in cleanup later).
- 7 when almost completely cool (but not all the way cool), scrap off the sheet and store in an air tight container.
